Hotel Union Square

I've stayed here twice on business and have had positive experiences both times. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The rooms are a bit small, but the hotel is very conveniently located. If you can stay here without a car, you'll be better off. They have a complimentary wine hour each night if you're looking to mingle or have a drink before going out. Internet is also free and connection speeds are good.

The hotel itself is very cool. Winding halls painted different colors. Feels like a different world. Staff was courteous but not super friendly. The room was small but clean. Really only as big as the bed itself plus room to walk around it. Window overlooked the parking lot with a view of the building next door. Fortunately it was a cool building. Overall, a decent and eccentric hotel in an excellent location.

Great value. The location is unbeatable—close to public transit, so many different restaurants, and a quick walk from tour meeting points. The room was comfortable, and although you can see the age of the building, they did their best in providing modern amenities. My only complaint would be the noise—we were in a corner room, and could hear everything on the street. The staff was kind and extremely helpful.

The place located in the heart of Downtown SF. The overall place experience was not bad. The price per night was average. Pros: Nice room, large bathroom, very clean, location, front desk service, free evening amenities Cons: The room I was staying don't have a centralize AC therefore it's very loud, not very upfront with the hidden fees (they told me about the fees after they swiped my card) Side note: They charged me double after I check my bank statement. It takes about 2 days to resolve this issue but the employee was very understanding and polite. They refunded my money within 48 hours. So, keep an eye on your statement after stayed at this place.

This hotel exceeded our expectations by a long shot. We stayed in a junior suite for 6 nights. The location is perfect. Room is HUGE with a HUGE walk in shower. Room was very clean. Mini fridge in the room eventhough it doesn't state that on the websites. Staff was great. Wine hour was a plus. Best trip EVER! Will 100p% be back!

Excellent location, within a stone's throw of Union Square and a block from a cable car turning station. The Hotel is clean and modern in the fashionable boutique style with modish decor and a relaxed feel. The staff were all friendly and can offer helpful tips on navigating and how to get the best from the lovely city of San Francisco. Our room was small but the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was spacious with upgraded fixtures and fittings. We enjoyed a very pleasant 4 nights at the Hotel Union Square in April this year when visiting from the UK and would recommend this Hotel to family and friends.
